1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign in, we collect your email address, name, and profile image via Google OAuth (through Clerk). We do not store your Google password.

Scan data: The ideas you scan and the resulting analysis are stored to provide scan history and trending features. Scans are associated with your account if logged in, or your IP address if anonymous.

Payment information: Payment details are processed by Dodo Payments (our Merchant of Record). We do not store credit card numbers or payment credentials on our servers.

Usage data: We track scan counts for rate limiting and analytics purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and improve the Service
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Send weekly tracking alerts (if you opted in by tracking an idea)
• Send product updates and newsletters (if you subscribed)
• Enforce usage limits and prevent abuse

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Clerk — authentication provider
• Dodo Payments — payment processing (Merchant of Record)
• Resend — email delivery for alerts and digests
• Google — for AI analysis (Gemini API) and keyword data. Your scan topics are sent to Google APIs for analysis.
• Vercel — hosting and infrastructure
• Supabase — database hosting

4. Data Retention

Scan results are retained indefinitely to provide scan history. Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your data by contacting us at support@buildorskip.com.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (via Clerk). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Analytics may be added in the future and this policy will be updated accordingly.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time
• Cancel your subscription at any time

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure authentication via Clerk, and encrypted database connections. However, no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
