We said SKIP on September 15, 2026. Not settled — due September 15, 2027.
Read this with the caveat. We tested the engine that produced this verdict against 292 launches whose outcomes we already knew, and could not show it predicted which survived. Some of its data sources were also dead at the time of scoring. The verdict stays up, dated and unedited, because a record you can quietly revise is not a record — but it is worth less than it looked when it was written.
Three of four evidence channels are empty or irrelevant: the Reddit and HN hits have nothing to do with local lead scanning, and there are no keywords. The only real signal is four incumbents charging money — for a different, digitized buyer. Combine unproven segment demand with a buyer who is unreachable through the organic channels a solo founder actually has, plus a $0-5/mo price point requiring thousands of accounts, and this is a SKIP unless the founder has a pre-existing local sales channel.
Four established competitors prove money changes hands in lead capture, but every one of them sells to digitized/enterprise buyers — none validates the 'under-digitized local SMB' segment. Social and keyword channels are effectively empty: the single Reddit post (r/LocalLLaMA) and all four HN threads are unrelated to local lead scanning.
A real product wedge is documented (offline-first scanning, $0-5/mo per-scan pricing, no-code SMS follow-up), but the target buyer is by definition not online — which means the one channel a solo founder has (organic/content/community) cannot reach them, and zero social signal confirms they aren't searching. That is a distribution barrier you cannot ship your way out of, not just missing traction.
The strongest case for building: enterprise lead tools genuinely ignore the corner-shop, gym and salon owner, and a $5/mo offline QR-to-SMS app is cheap enough to sell door-to-door in one neighborhood and get 50 paying users in a month without any audience. If the founder already lives in a dense local-business market and treats it as a field-sales product rather than a content-marketing SaaS, the absence of online chatter is exactly the arbitrage — nobody online is competing for a buyer who isn't online.
What is worth more than this page. The register records what became of 6,266 real launches. No engine has to be right for that to be true.
