We said MAYBE on July 29, 2026. Not settled — due July 29, 2027.
Read this with the caveat. We tested the engine that produced this verdict against 292 launches whose outcomes we already knew, and could not show it predicted which survived. Some of its data sources were also dead at the time of scoring. The verdict stays up, dated and unedited, because a record you can quietly revise is not a record — but it is worth less than it looked when it was written.
Demand is clearly proven across social, HN, keywords, and paying competitors — this is a real market. But it is a saturated one dominated by funded players, and the solo founder's distribution path is the weakest link; the only credible route to winning is the narrow agent-native/local-first wedge, not another meeting recorder.
Multiple channels agree: 15 Reddit posts comparing note-takers, high-scoring HN launches, growing search demand, and at least 5 competitors already charging money proves commercial pull.
The wedge (agent-native, cross-tool, local-first notes) is real, but the space is crowded with funded incumbents and dozens of meeting-tool startups, and a solo founder with no audience has no obvious path to first 10 customers.
The 'agent-native' framing is a genuinely differentiated wedge none of the meeting-focused incumbents occupy — capturing notes across Slack, email, browsing, and code tasks is a real unmet gap. A privacy-first, local/self-hosted, tool-agnostic version could win the Reddit-frustrated and Obsidian/Notion crowd through a Show HN launch, exactly the channel where Reor scored 411 points without an existing audience.
What is worth more than this page. The register records what became of 6,266 real launches. No engine has to be right for that to be true.
